Baby Cafe Facilitator From Practice to Practioner

Baby Cafe will always be home.

Baby Cafe is a national program which provides varying levels of breastfeeding support in a community based setting. My first experience at Baby Cafe was one that has impacted me even until this day. Baby Cafe provides a vital service in the community to help individuals make and achieve their breastfeeding goals. Due to the pandemic the Baby Cafe program was forced to go fully remote. I took this temporary delay as an opportunity to educate myself further and completed a course for Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. These courses allowed me to obtain the role as a volunteer CLC with the Baby Cafe program.
